Indesit DSFO3T224ZUK Review

Verdict

Indesit DSFO3T224ZUK is an excellent ultra-slim dishwasher. Despite its compact size, there is a surprising amount of room inside and you can even pull out the top rack to clean larger kitchen items. The Push & Go feature is a bit gimmicky, but we can forgive that thanks to the device’s low running costs and its excellent overall performance. If you are looking for a small dishwasher, it’s a great choice.

The Dishwasher Indesit DSFO3T224ZUK is slim, easy to use, efficient and energy efficient

With its traditional white body 45 cm wide slender, Indesit DSFO3T224ZUK could be the perfect addition to the small kitchen. It’s nice and easy to use thanks to its clear buttons and control panel with orange display. The list of nine programs available along the top edge of the door contains a clear list of very graphic icons.

The clean control panel is easy to understand

Inside, it is a very spacious machine, despite its slender exterior. The height adjustable upper rack has four foldable cup holders. However, they did not have an unusual location for the wine glass rods. The base of the grill is angled to help keep the cup bases in contact with water. A small set of teeth for folding plates is also available for saucers or small plates.

In the upper position (for pots, pans and larger plates below), the upper basket begins to become a little tight, but remains suitable for cups, small bowls and compact glasses. Drop it and you can also squeeze in a wine glass of reasonable size. The rack moves easily back and the height adjustment clips run smoothly.

Although thin, the dishwasher has a spacious upper rack

The lower basket has eight soft rolling wheels that allow it to be inserted and removed easily even when the dishes are heavy. The standard cutlery basket has cutouts allowing it to be placed anywhere along rows of folding plate teeth. Fold these and you have a surprisingly large area for pots and pans larger.

The “eXtra” option is very convenient, allowing you to remove the upper basket for washing very large or bulky items up to 53 cm in height. We are still trying to determine what type of pan, pan or dish could have these dimensions. We tried a Bijou stir-fried wok and some cooking trays. They all stayed immaculately clean in less than an hour with the eXtra program.

The program list covers a 50ºC ECO wash for the lowest running costs. It took the better part of four hours to complete, but we achieved flawless results by consuming less than 0.8 kWh of electricity and only 6.5 liters of water ! We drank more tea than that for four hours. Most people use less water than this for a single bowl of dishes. So, for the 10 settings you can do, this Indesit is extremely water efficient.

Faster programs and Push & Go functionality work well for Indesit DSFO3T224ZUK

If time is lacking, there are much faster programs with an intensive program of 65 and a normal program of 50, although you can expect a water and electricity consumption of about 50%. Note that this still represents only 1.2 kWh and 9 liters of water, so far from expensive.

There is a delicate program running at 45ºC, perfect for fragile glasses and ceramics, and a Rapid 30 that did a reasonable job on lightly soiled loads in less than 30 minutes – though without drying. On this note, there is no additional drying option for any program, so do not throw away your tea towels at the moment.

There are standard containers for cleaning and rinsing products

The Indesit DSFO3T224ZUK aims to make life easy with the unique Push & Go button. Simply press and hold the button for one second. A basic full wash program lasts approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes. You must always charge the dishwasher, make sure that you add the cleaning powder, etc. We therefore question the need to remove a button press from the entire operation – but that’s where you want it.

You can choose from nine programs, including the fast Push & Go for which there is a dedicated button

Indesit’s Baby Zoo adds a fun and fun color to debates. No, not a traveling carnival of young artists, but a dedicated, colorful and fun, childrens and removable locker. Use it with the Baby Care program and it’s perfect for baby bottles and other small items, even if Indesit wants to make it clear that this is not a sterilization cycle.

The Baby Zoo looked great, but it took us enough time to place it properly in the dishwasher and we wondered if it was not just a little gimmicky.

Indesit DSFO3T224ZUK Review 5

The baby zoo looks cute but feels gimmicky

What we all agreed upon is that this is a small, ultra-slim dishwasher that fears a wash load greater than you can imagine; it cleans well and does it using modest amounts of water and electricity. In our tests, we also found that the Indesit was also very quiet. If you have a gap of 45 cm in the kitchen, the filling material is almost perfect.

Should I buy the Indesit Push & Go?

Incorporating in a space of just 45 cm, offering fabulous cleaning results, simple operation and contemporary looks, the Indesit DSFO3T224ZUK is a serious competitor in the thin dishwashers market. The interior is surprisingly spacious, the program choice is well thought out and it is so quiet that you will hardly notice it during the wash cycle.

We are not convinced by the Push & Go function, and the drying results are not as stellar as the superb cleaning performance of the dishwasher. However, for an ultra-flat and ultra-efficient dishwasher designed for small kitchens, the model Indesit DSFO3T224ZUK is hard to beat.
