The Huawei Mate 30 Pro has been officially announced and has arrived with the Huawei Mate 30.

We're still waiting for Huawei to announce the release date for Mate 30 Pro, but we'll update this section as soon as we know more.

The price of the Huawei Mate 30 Pro is not known yet, but you expect it to be more expensive than the price of the Huawei P30 Pro released earlier this year.

The Huawei Mate 30 Pro has a large, 6.53-inch curved OLED display, which Huawei calls the "Horizon Display", providing "the ultimate viewing experience."

It has a resolution of 2400 x 1176, an aspect ratio of 18.4: 9 and HDR support. The notch includes a new gesture sensor and two 3D depth cameras and a selfie camera.

There is no visible earphone on the front of the Mate 30 Pro. The loudspeaker is integrated in the display. In addition, there is no volume control on the side of the handset. Instead, you control the screen by running your finger over the curved side of the device.

On the back, Huawei has changed the shape of its camera setup with a large round finish housing four sensors.

The Huawei Mate 30 Pro will be available in four colors: Classic Black, Space Silver, Cosmic Purple and Emerald Green. The degree of protection IP68 is protected against dust and water.

The Huawei Mate 30 has a larger 6.62-inch display, but with a lower resolution of 2340 x 1080 and an aspect ratio of 19.5: 9 and a smaller, 26.2 mm wider notch.

The Huawei Mate 30 will also be available in four colors with a glass surface: Classic Black, Space Silver, Cosmic Purple and Emerald Green. The degree of protection IP53 is protected against dust and water. And it will also be available in the two vegan leather options.

Huawei Mate 30 Pro cameras

The camera setup of the Huawei Mate 30 includes an ultra-wide camera with 16 MP f / 2.2, a super-sensing wide camera with 40 MP f / 1.8, a telephoto lens with 8 MP f / 2, 4 and a laser focus.

There is OIS and AIS image stabilization and support for a 3x optical and a 30x digital zoom.

The Huawei Mate 30 Pro features a more advanced system with four reversing cameras developed in collaboration with the Leica camera brand.

There's a 40-megapixel ultra-wide-cine camera, a 40-megapixel super-sensing wide camera, an 8-megapixel telephoto lens, and a 3D depth-sensing camera.

You also get dual OIS and AIS image stabilization and support for a 3x optical and a 30x digital zoom.

The Mate 30 Pro is also a serial video recorder. There is support for 4K HDR + 60fps recording, 7680fps ultra-slow motion, real-time bokeh video, 4K time-lapse and low-light recording.

Huawei Mate 30 Pro performance and features

Both the Huawei Mate 30 Pro and the Mate 30 pack in the flagship chipset Kirin 990, which has a 5G modem for the 5G variants of each handset.

Huawei promises that with the Mate 30 Pro 5G and the Mate 30 5G, breakthrough 5G speeds will be possible, though we'll have to wait for our test equipment to see if they meet the demands.

There is dual SIM support, whereby both SIM cards can simultaneously support a 5G connection.

The 990 chip offers improvements in CPU performance, latency and GPU performance over its predecessor.

The Huawei Mate 30 Pro comes with a 4,500 mAh battery while the Huawei Mate 30 has a 4,200 mAh power adapter.

Both phones support a superfast 40W charging cable and a 27W charging cable. Huawei has also doubled the speed of reverse wireless charging, so you can use the Mate 30 as a wireless charger for other devices.

For the Huawei Mate 30 and 30 Pro user interface, the company's EMUI 10 user interface comes with its own dark mode, new animations, and fresh color themes.

EMUI 10 supports a constantly-on display that shows the time, date, battery, and notifications. It's not just a black and white display with a variety of color and design options.
