Huawei Mate 30 packshot and alleged specs have leaked online

With the upcoming Huawei's Mate 30 lineup officially being banned from using Google apps and services, there's a big mystery surrounding the company's first Google-free flagship.

While we've heard rumors about unusual camera settings and curvy screens, not much information about the specifications of the handsets has been revealed. However, we are pretty sure that the Kirin 990 chipset announced at IFA 2019 is likely to power the Huawei Mate 30.

Now, a suspected data sheet for the Mate 30 Pro has leaked online via Twitter with the kind permission of the Finnish SlashLeaks contributor @ RODENT950,

Interestingly, the Huawei Mate 30 Pro's data sheet shows a 6.6-inch or 6.8-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1,176 x 2,400 (Full HD +), indicating an apparent loss of quality. The QHD + Screen of the Mate 20 Pro from last year.

The datasheet also states that the Mate 30 Pro comes with 8GB / 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of memory, along with the aforementioned Kirin 990 chipset and a massive 4,500mAh battery with 40W SuperCharge and 27 W SuperWirelessCharge capacity.

As previously reported, the Huawei Mate 30 Pro on the back is designed to have four cameras with a 40 megapixel main sensor, a 40-megapixel wide-angle lens, an 8-megapixel telephoto lens, and a time of flight (ToF) camera sensor top it all off. On the front, the Mate 30 Pro has a 32-megapixel main selfie camera and an additional ToF sensor.

Surprisingly, the leak indicates that the Mate 30 Pro will be equipped with Android 10 (via the Huawei's own EMUI10), but without Google Apps.

In addition, images leaked on the Chinese social media site Weibo have come in convincingly showing the sales packaging for the standard Huawei Mate 30 (not to mention the Mate 30 Pro). A second image reveals a device with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of memory.

Of course you should take all this information (especially the datasheet) for the time being with a grain of salt, since this was not confirmed by Huawei. Still, we do not have to wait long for official details, as the Mate 30 series will hit the market next week on September 19th.
